PSHS CVISC SCHOLARS JOINS 17th PMO

Last October 11, 2014, selected Fourth Year and Ninth Grade Scholars who are proficient in Math participated in the Qualifying Stage for the 17th Philippine Mathematical Olympiad held in University of the Philippines – Cebu.

The Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO) is the oldest and most prestigious nationwide mathematics competition among secondary school students. It is the breeding ground for the country’s representative to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).

Several students who passed the screening trained for days for the said competition with Mr. Kenneth C. Balili, Special Science Teacher and Math Club Adviser of Philippine Science High School – Central Visayas Campus.

Among the participants of CVisC, three students, Jeffry A. Ramonida and Naditha Marie C. Manubag of IV–Graviton and Weand Ybanez of IV–Gluon, qualified and will proceed to the Area Stage to be held in the University of the Philippines–Cebu on November 15, 2014.
